With more than 35 years of experience in business leadership, finance, operations, and turnaround management, Steve Green is a nationally recognized authority in these fields. He co-founded KGI Advisors, Inc. (formerly named Kibel Green, Inc.) in 1984 and continues to serve as its President.
Steve is known for his creative strategic thinking and strong leadership in assisting hundreds of companies through periods of transition or restructure, resulting in dramatic profit and enterprise value improvements. He has also overseen numerous capital transactions involving acquisitions, sales, or financings. Prior to co-founding KGI, he led the successful restructuring at four companies.
Steve holds an MBA from the University of Southern California (USC) and a BS in business from Northeastern University. He served on the Advisory Council to USC's Entrepreneurship Program. He lectures at the LMU and other business schools and is a frequent speaker at business conferences on a variety of strategic and financial topics. He also holds a California Real Estate Broker license. Steve is a member Young Presidents' Organization (YPO), Turnaround Management Association (TMA), Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), and ProVisors.

Gerry Seli is a senior financial executive with more than 20 years of experience in corporate finance, financial restructuring, operational turnarounds, and investment banking. Gerry has advised companies, creditors and financial sponsors in complex restructuring transactions and litigation, both in-court and out-of-court. Gerry has served as Chief Restructuring Officer and consultant for numerous companies in multiple industries.
Prior to joining KGI, Gerry worked at several top-tier financial advisory firms such as Ernst & Young, FTI Consulting, and Capstone Advisory Group.
Gerry is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified in Financial Forensics, and a Certified Fraud Examiner, and holds a BA in Business Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles.
Rich Ferdinand
Senior Consultant
Rich Ferdinand has 30 years of financial management (CFO) and consulting experience. He has also served as consultant and as an officer in numerous turnaround situations including managing Chapter 11 processes.
His core skills include developing credible and viable business plans, fixing and managing accounting departments, building financial and operational forecasting, and managing lender and creditor relationships.
Rich began his career with Deloitte & Touche CPAs where he became certified. He earned his BA in mathematics from Colgate University and his MBA from University of Chicago. Rich has previously taught financial and accounting courses to undergraduate and graduate students at UCLA and he conducts national webcasts for CPAs to meet their continuing education requirements. An avid cycler, he is a 20-year rider for the Pan Mass Challenge, a two day 190 mile ride that has raised approximately $600 million for Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston since its inception.
Randy Weaver

Randy Weaver brings over 30 years of increasingly responsible financial, operating, analytical and investigative experience to KGI. Randy has served as CEO, COO and CFO in both interim and long-term capacities. He has also served as court appointed Responsible Person ("CEO") in a highly contentious telecommunications case.
Randy is highly skilled at quickly understanding the leverage points within an organization. He specializes in complex assignments where the existing personnel, structure and processes do not provide adequate results from a profitability or compliance standpoint. His experience includes working with organizations where a high degree of contractual or regulatory compliance is required including FDA and FTC regulations, construction, government contracting and international standards.
Randy is a Certified Public Accountant and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University at Northridge in Business (Accounting) and holds a Master of Arts degree in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica.
Albert C. Levine

Albert Levine has over 25 years of experience in operational and industrial engineering. Notable past employers include Rubbermaid Co., Little Tikes, and Procter & Gamble.
Alberts areas of expertise cover operations management, ERP / JIT planning, quality control, plant layout, lean manufacturing, inventory / materials management, production scheduling, supply chain management, distribution logistics, 5S methodology, fabrication and assembly, and cellular manufacturing.
Albert holds an MBA from the University of Southern California, an MS in Industrial Engineering & Operations Management from the University of Southern California, and a BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Southern. Albert is also a member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) and Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME).
Bruce Conklin

Bruce Conklin brings to KGI more than 30 years of experience in the business management, operations and turnaround industries. He specializes in full-service financial and operational consulting and interim management. He has served as Interim Chief Executive Officer and Chief Restructuring Officer for numerous companies in multiple industries.
Bruce has been with KGI since 1992 and has participated in the operational and financial restructuring of over 50 companies.
Prior to joining KGI, Bruce served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for several real estate and manufacturing companies. He was also the Audit Manager for KPMG in their New York, Atlanta and Washington DC practices.
Bruce is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a BS degree from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Daniel F. Muth

Daniel Muth is a battle-tested operator and executive with over 25 years of experience in executive management, operations, accounting and finance, operational turnarounds, corporate finance, acquisitions/divestitures, negotiations, sourcing and management consulting. Dan has worked extensively with financial sponsors, creditors and corporate management teams throughout his career.
Following the first part of his career in consulting with Bain & Company, Dan headed operations improvements and acquisitions for a major private conglomerate, served as Chief Financial Officer for floral wire service and has led four private equity-owned manufacturing companies as Chief Executive Officer or Executive Chairman. Dan has particularly deep experience in handling the multi-faceted strategic and operational challenges that come to companies in crisis from fast-changing industry dynamics, as well as the challenges stemming from growth. He has extensive experience in senior and mezzanine debt financing and in transactions to sell privately owned companies. He also was a partner for several years in a $1.6 Billion private equity firm, leading up Portfolio Operations/Value Improvement efforts across the firm's holdings.
Dan earned his MBA at Harvard Business School, where he was named a Baker Scholar (highest honors) and holds his BA in Quantitative Economics (with honors and distinction) from Stanford University. He is a member of Young Presidents' Organization Gold (YPOG) and currently resides in Wisconsin.
Adam Kaufman

Adam Kaufman is an accomplished executive, entrepreneur, and board member providing pioneering leadership in digital health, medical services, and healthy living. For more than two decades he has been a pioneer of digital health and its accompanying transformation of the healthcare industry.
Adam is known for driving digital transformation and organizational improvements through technical advancements as well as defining strategic vision to penetrate new markets, expand product lines, and grow revenue. He is also known for building and leading marketing and sales teams.
Most recently, Adam reorganized Weight Watchers B2B healthcare division while leading the launch of the first dedicated broad WW consumer solution for people with diabetes and positioning this new vertical for significant growth. Previously, Adam has been a startup founder and CEO at Canary Health leading the company through several rounds of financing and growth to a $10M in annual recurring revenue run rate.
Adam has a Ph.D. in Applied Microeconomics (with a focus in healthcare) from the University of Southern California, and completed a dual Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Systems Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania. Adam also worked as an Adjunct at USC, teaching healthcare Industrial Organization and Applied Statistics. He served as a Fulbright Scholar at the Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico.
Kurt Zumwalt

Kurt Zumwalt was Treasurer at Amazon.com from 2014 through August 2019, providing leadership for the company’s global cash and portfolio management, debt financing, foreign exchange, insurance and treasury-related technology infrastructure. He joined Amazon.com as Assistant Treasurer in 2004 and successfully scaled the treasury department as Amazon grew from $8B in revenue to an annual run rate of $250B+. Prior to working at Amazon, Kurt was Treasurer at ProBusiness Services from 2001 to 2003 and served in various financial roles, including Treasurer, at Wind River Systems during his tenure from 1997 to 2001. He also held positions in finance at PACCAR, Intel, Microsoft and Bank of America.
Kurt has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania, with a double major in Economics and Political Science, and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the Michael G. Foster School of Business at the University of Washington. Kurt currently serves on the board of directors of Ranpak Holdings Corp. (PACK) and Omeros Corporation (OMER). He is also on the board of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and the USTA Foundation, and a member of the Foundation’s Audit committee.
Kevin Krieser

Kevin Krieser served as President of Evy of California, a leading apparel company, from 2006 to 2017 after serving 3 years as the Director of Manufacturing. Kevin and the Evy team transformed the business and grew sales from $20 Million to over $135 Million annually within 5 years. Positive culture, clear communication and hard work were at the forefront of the company’s success resulting in an ESOP transaction in 2012 and culminating in a full sale to private equity in late 2017.
Since Kevin’s exit from Evy he has operated several businesses including Active Ride Shops, a 25-door skateboard retailer, One World Apparel, an international women’s apparel design house, APS Global, a premium performance-wear manufacturer, and founded Lionstripe Networks, a Network Security Firm specializing in apartment complexes, co-working spaces and corporate offices. Throughout the past 16 years, Kevin has successfully completed numerous turnarounds, company acquisitions, financial
restructures, and strategic exits.
Prior to his professional career, Kevin graduated from Vassar College with a liberal arts degree. Kevin is an active member and former chapter chair of YPO Beverly Hills.
Mark H. Fowler

Mark Fowler specializes in transitioning businesses from challenge to achievement by focusing both on enhancing revenues and profits, while instituting cultural and interactive processes that substantially increase collaboration and engagement--helping businesses to achieve a new level of success.
He works with businesses in crisis, navigating generational shifts, rapidly expanding but needing to mitigate risks of such new success, positioning businesses to purchase other operations or sell or merge into a larger business. He also works with businesses and professional services firms with succession and exit planning challenges, including securing additional capital or financing needs. Comprehensive succession and exit planning services for the business owner community has been provided for virtually all clients over the years.
He is a member of AICPA and California CPA Society ("Society"). He served as a director of the Society, as a State Committee Chair and as a Trustee for the California CPA Education Foundation. He is currently Chair for Management of Accounting Practices for the Los Angeles Chapter of the California Society of CPAs. He is also a Director of the Los Angeles Chapter of California Society of CPAs. He is Co-Founder of the Rotary E-Club of World Peace. A sought-after speaker/presenter, he has also written more than 100 articles and created and presented more than 35 courses.
Philip C. Boken

Philip brings executive leadership to companies that need to realize near-term, sustainable EBITDA improvement through management development, operational change and accountability via performance & project management and hands-on leadership. His 35+ years of experience helps organizations design and realize tangible improvements to their efficiency, effectiveness and profitability.
Since 2011, he has focused on helping private companies in transition achieve tangible improvement by focusing on business fundamentals, cash management, and “building a bridge” between all the functions of the business.
Philip earned high honors for his BBA and MBA degrees from Loyola Marymount University and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive). Prior to focusing on turnaround roles with middle-market companies, Philip held senior advisory positions domestically and in emerging markets with Deloitte Consulting, KPMG Advisory, Protiviti, and SSA & Co.
